Outline
Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES) is expected to contribute this Global COE in terms of education and research. The purpose of the workshop was to present/discuss each research progress and to exchange information among GSGES members who are working in research projects supported by the GCOE, and also several foreign specialists working in research fields related to human security engineering.
Report
In the first session of the workshop, we provided 10 presentations from the GSGES GCOE members. In the following session, we had eight presentations on sanitary environment by the overseas researchers from Hanoi and Danang in Vietnam, Bangkok in Thailand, Kandy in Sri Lanka, Khulna in Bangladesh, Changzhou and Shenzhen in China, and Israel. Together with faculty in Kyoto University, many students in master and doctoral courses joined the workshop.
The exchange of opinions in the workshop as well as the following reception was fruitful amongst not only faculty of Kyoto University but also many overseas researchers.
