Outline
The 2nd international workshop on water supply management system and social capital was held on March 15-16 2010, at Institute Technology Surabaya, Indonesia in order to seize current situation and perspectives of each country, to explore the complexity of water usage as priceless social capital, and to discuss new concepts and paradigms in water resources management and sustainable development schemes The 2nd workshop fluently transpired along two days with total presentation of the 26 excellent speakers and about 80 participants from various research topics related to water supply management system and social capital cases of Indonesia as well as Asian countries.
Report
At the 2nd workshop, the participants have showed excellent achievements of the issue of their respective research fields such as political and technical problems regarding social capital on water usage in each country and common issues in the entire Asian region, through the comparative analysis among Asian countries. The next third workshop will be held at University of Brawijaya (UB), Malang, Indonesia on February 2011. Participants on deepening research collaboration in the future Workshops.
