Outline

The Graduate School of Global Environment Studies (GSGES) of Kyoto University had carried out 10 Global COE projects in the field of education and research on human security engineering for Asian megacities (HSE) from FY2008 to 2012.
The GSGES Global COE Workshop in FY2012 -Summary of FY2008-2012 Activities - was held at Research Bldg.No.5 of GSGES on March 7th, 2013. The purpose of this workshop was to summarize GSGES HSE Project activities in FY2008-2012 and to share the results of the activities with all participants.

Report

In the workshop, Shigeo Fujii, dean and Prof. of GSGES, first explained the aim of this workshop, and Prof. Shigeo Fujii, Yugo Takabe, researcher of GSGES, Yoko Fujikawa, Assoc. Prof. of Graduate School of Eng., Toru Inui, Assoc. Prof. of GSGES, Rajib Shaw, Assoc. Prof. of GSGES, Junji Kiyono, Prof. of GSGES, Truong Hoang Phuong, Doctor student of GSGES and Hidenori Harada, Assist. Prof. of GSGES, reported their HSE Project activities held in FY2008-2012 and achievements obtained from them. More than 50 participants joined the workshop, and there was an active and fruitful discussion among participants and presenters. This event also provided a good opportunity to inform guests from abroad of HSE Projects, and it was a good success.
