Information on the last class on Human Security Engineering 2012

We are great pleasure to inform the last class on Human Security Engineering.
Today, we have no class on Human Security Engineering on 25th July.
We will provide one more class as the last 2012 HSE on 13th September 2012.
The special sessions in the 20th Global Environment Symposium, JSCE will be held on 13th Sept., 2012 at Global Jinyu Hall, Katsura Campus, Kyoto University.
Special session 1:
15:00 – 17:30 Panel Discussion: “Future expansion and problems in global cooperation and technology transfer for solving environmental problems in Asia” at Room 191, C-1 building of Katsura campus. Presenters may use Japanese, but expand efforts to make their presentation understandable for foreign students.
Special session 2:
17:30 – 18:30 Poster Session: “Role of Human Security Engineering in Asian Countries” at Jinyu, C-1 building of Katsura campus. Students taking the class of HSE this year will have core time in front of their posters.

Poster Presentation
All of students, who registered 2012 HSE Class, are required to make a poster presentation in the special session 2. The main subject of poster presentation is to identify the problem issues related to Human Security Engineering in your country. In addition, you are required to describe the way of practical engineering solutions for them.

Submission of your poster material as a power point document file: 10th August, 2012
Print out your poster material: by 16:00 on 7th Sept., 2012

17:30 – 19:00 on 13th Sept., 2012. Preparation of poster presentation at site before 15:00 is recommended.
Poster Material
You need to make a poster material, which size is A0. We would like to ask you to use HSE Poster Template (HSE-027).

Large Format Printer
If you want to use the Large Format Printer CANON iPF8000 installed in GCOE HSE Center (C Cluster C1-3-182), you should contact to HSE Center (kyomu_gcoe@hse.gcoe.kyoto-u.ac.jp) by 16:00 7th Sept.
USB memory stick and CD-R are available. PowerPoint and PDF are available for the file format of poster material for printing it out using the Large Format Printer in GCOE HSE Center.
