Place of stay: International Islamic University of Malaysia, Malaysia
Term: July 18, 2012 - August 6, 2012
The main purpose of my internship in International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) was to evaluate my research findings and knowledge in the area of Islamic Banking and Finance and Shari’ah Compliant Contracts. Malaysia boasts a comprehensive Islamic financial and banking system that includes Islamic banks, takaful operators, money market, capital market, fund management and other financial service providers. This healthy environment has helped boost the country’s standing in the global Islamic finance scene tremendously. Attending in IIUM was a great opportunity to discuss various subjects in the areas related to my research in an Islamic environment and to promote and exchange my knowledge with the other researchers and scholars. It would be useful in my future researches that searching in IIUM rich library and knowing some key persons and centers related to my research interest. I also had a chance to give two lectures in IIUM. I received precious comments and suggestions to improve my research findings. This experience would be a good practice for my final defense.
