Outline
The 19th Annual Conference on Ozone Science and Technology in Japan was held at C1-191 Hall on June 18-19, 2010. The purpose of this conference is to share the latest research information about ozone, including ozone generation, ozone usage, and water and wastewater treatment with ozone, besides education about the matters to students.
Report
In the conference, 34 of oral presentation and 3 of poster presentation were conducted from several researchers and students. More than 120 participants attended the conference, bringing together not only professors, but also students, reflecting a growing interest in ozone science and technology. The topics of the presentation were ozone generation, reaction mechanism with ozone, application for manufacturing, gas treatment, water purification, water and wastewater treatment, disinfection, and application for micro pollutants. Vigorous discussions were conducted among participants after presentations and the sessions.
Safety training program for using ozone and awards ceremony for best research about ozone and so on were held besides the conference.
A banquet was took place after the presentation of the first day. Not only researchers but also students also attend the banquet and the exchange of opinions was fruitful among the participants sharing their research information and education for younger researchers and students.
