Outline
In Tsinghua University - Kyoto University Cooperative Research and Education Center for Environmental Technology, CRECET, five years have passed since established. During this period, CRECET has been recognized and renowned by not only both the universities but also related organizations. We have performed many successful achievements about our research and education. As the results of these activities, CRECET makes important roles for both the universities. Moreover, GCOE program and EML program started from 2008 are contributing to the activities of CRECET. On the other hand, the staff and the students of both the universities frequently visited to each other to exchange advanced knowledge and technologies, learn skills, and understand the environmental situations through activities of CRECET.
Therefore, the roles of CRECET have become more important for both the universities. On this occasion, the fifth anniversary ceremony of CRECET should be held with the colleagues and the contributors to celebrate the success for the last five years and promote the further efforts to the future.
Moreover, partnership agreement between Tsinghua Univ., Shenzhen Academy of Environmental Science (hereafter SAES) and Kyoto Univ. will be concluded in this ceremony in order to expand for our activities not only academic field but also business field.
Report
First of all, opening addresses were given by Profs. Ma Hui and SAWARAGI Tetsuo, and then congratulations were given from the guests.
The objectives of the CRECET establishment, the contributions which brought to both countries by the CRECET were introduced in the guest congratulation. Then, partnership agreement between Tsinghua Univ., SAES and Kyoto Univ. which is able to make our activities expand was signed-up by Director YANG Lijun, Profs. JIANG Yuang, MATSUOKA Yuzuru and FUJII Shigeo. History and future prospect of CRECET was presented following the poster session which was made from the donated companies and Chinese private companies.
This ceremony was held with very solemnly. Finally, it was expected to grow and prosper for both countries, continuously.
