and health risk management, and to establish a new discipline, "Human Security Engineering" under the concept based on thoroughgoing on-field-oriented policies.
In addition, it is intended to discuss con- crete process to develop a textbook of "Health Risk Management in Human Security Engineering" under the GCOE-HSE Program.
In the first part of the symposium, research results in the research field of Health Risk Management were presented.
In the second part, research activities by the GCOE faculty and GCOE PD Fellow were presented. Then, in the last part, researchers related to the research field of 'Health Risk Management' debated the development for GCOE-HSE textbook of 'Health Risk Management in Human Security Engineering'.
Report
This symposium was conducted using the videoconference system connected among Katsura Campus, GCOE Shenzhen and Hanoi overseas base. The research activities and achievements at overseas bases such as Shenzhen and Hanoi from 9 research projects and 5 young researchers projects were reported in the first part of this symposium.
In the second part, three GCOE faculty and two GCOE PD Fellows presented their research activities in GCOE-HSE Program. Assoc. Prof. Yasojima, Assist. Prof. Mizuno, and Assist. Prof. Lien made their presentation from overseas base using video conference system.
In the last part, concrete process to develop a textbook of "Health Risk Management in Human Security Engineering" was actively debated from the following viewpoints;
1) Available for the lectures of the Graduate School,
2) Premise of general knowledge on the environmental engineering,
